World Humanitarian Day

Geneva hosted the annual World Humanitarian Day on Aug 19, which aims to honor the legacy of humanitarian personnel and to encourage work to *tackle global crises. The day was designated by the United Nations General Assembly to coincide with the anniversary of the bombing of the UN’s headquarters in Baghdad in 2003. This year’s theme is “One Humanity”, which gives particular focus to young people affected by struggles worldwide.

8月19日，日內瓦舉行一年一度的世界人道主義日活動，旨在致敬人道主義精神，鼓勵解決全球危機。2003年，聯合國駐巴格達辦事處遭炸彈襲擊，為了紀念這一天，聯合國大會設立了人道主義日。今年的主題是One Humanity(同一人類)，特別關注當今世界飽受磨難的青年人。
