兵馬俑(terra-cotta warriors and horses)即制成兵馬形狀的殉葬品(sacrificial objects)。兵馬俑坑是秦始皇陵的陪葬坑(pit)，其面積有50多個籃球場那么大。一個有趣的發現是:幾乎我們每個中國人的容貌都能在古老的兵馬俑中找到“模子”。有人曾這樣描述兵馬俑，“世界上有七大奇跡，兵馬俑的發現可以說是第八大奇跡。不看兵馬俑，不能算來過中國。”秦始皇兵馬俑博物館是中國最大的古代軍事博物館。秦始皇兵馬俑是世界考古史上最偉大的發現之一。
1.其面積有50多個籃球場那么大:本句用定語從句翻譯，即the size of which is equal to 50 basketball courts。其中which指代“兵馬俑坑 ”，is equal to 意為“等于，相當于”。
2.—個有趣的發現是:可譯為It is interesting that…，真正的主語是由that引導的從句。
3.找到“模子”:可譯為find for his/her face acorresponding “mould”，即“找到和自己的臉相對應的模子。”
